I had  a discussion with a Moss techie who told me that the reason it voids 
the warranty is that so many people just mix the fluids they don't want to 
be responsible.

in fact, there is no reason whatsover not to use dot 5 in your car.  many of 
us run it in many different cars with no trouble whatsoever.
