[Mgs] reverse sliding gear question. 1978 Midget.

I have to agree with Mike on this one.  If it's damaged, the cost of a
new piece is surely worth the piece of mind.  I'd feel pretty silly if
i had to re-rebuild a transmission a year later because I reused dodgy
parts.
