Generic US fuses maybe, but the US MG parts houses seem to supply the 
correct 17 amp rated 35 amp blow fuses: Moss US 
(http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29061&SortOrder=5 
item 52) just says 35 amp, as does LBCarCo, Victoria British quotes 17/35 
amp so no confusion there.  You do need 35amp from these places.
