[Mgs] Steering Wheel

A long buried memory somewhere between my first walk without a nappy 
(diapers to the US bodies) and first erection (I had a Meccano set!) 
is the one about the MGB being the first vehicle to be officially 
crash tested - it passed with flying colours.  Anyone know anything about that?
