With a repair only the repair is (probably) guaranteed, but the rest of the 
components will be untouched and could have been stressed by the fault.  A 
rebuilt unit is hopefully what is says, with all the usual wear points 
checked/replaced, and should come with a full guarantee.  Personally I would 
go for an exchange unit.
