I'm thinking there would be a market for a solenoid-operated trip hammer
that would rap the fuel pump when you pressed a button on the dash (thereby
saving the embarassment of rolling to a stop on the shoulder and ruining the
knees of your chinos). It would be particularly useful to the poor sots who
have bolt-on wheels and aren't in the habit of carrying a lead hammer.

Any inventors out there?
