I don't trust VR1, they claim to have that level but then also label their
containers API SM which need much lower levels than that to avoid poisoning
catalysers.  Royal Purple claims to have 1500-1600 ppm of ZDDP and say "we
could take all of the ZDDP out of our engine oils and still have 4 times the
wear resistance of even the VR-1 oil due to our Synerlec additive technology".
It makes it a farce for people like us.
