Yes, they are considered desirable accessories. The factory ones are steel,
with rear quarter windows, and kind of an angular look. The typical
aftermarket hardtop (Snugtop is common) is fiberglass and more
rounded-looking. Some have quarter windows and some don't.

They don't seem to change hands very often, so I don't know what they might
go for. But if I found one in serviceable condition for $500, I'd be pretty
happy, I think.
