Subj: Thermo Fan  Switch


I have had to replace the thermo fan switch twice in the last two years.  
Are these switches prone to fail? Seems like a very simple switch to fail so  
often. Could low level of water in the radiator cause them not to work or  
fail. If no one else is having problems with them I will replace it,  
otherwise I could just wire the fans to a toggle switch. Seems I remember  someone 
talking on the list awhile back about replacing the switch with one  from a 
Porsche or Toyota?
