As others have suggested, welding a regular nut to the end of the offending locker can work. If you don't have a welder handy, cutting a groove in the end of the locking nut and using a hammer type impact driver can also do the trick. But then again, since it is an MG, you could just ... naw, won't show my Triumph bias. mjb.
