[Mgs] Gulp Valve Question

I've removed the smog pump from my 74.5 BGT this morning  and will put the 
plugs in the head shortly (thanks Larry).  One question,  probably already asked 
and answered, but what should I do about the gulp  valve?  Block it off?  
Remove it and plug the intake manifold  hose?
 
Also, there is no EGR are valve evident from the front timing cover hose to  
the inlet on the intake....any aftermarket thoughts on one I could find at  
Autozone or PepBoys today?
