Never saw one Brit car in Cairo, Luxor, or anywhere else! But back to things MG.....I am trying to find what happened to a huge pile of Smith and Jaeger gauges, parts, other Smiths items, maint equipment that used to be ALFA INSTRUMENTS & MARINE SERVICES in Toronto. Ted, the owner, succumbed to a Nigerian scam and is now in a nursing home. The "shop" was sold to someone and I am trying to find out who has this mother load. It would be criminal if this hoard was dumped. His daughter says she thinks it went to Calgary (any lister there?). If anyone has any information please contact me Regards Barrie Barrie Robinson (705) 721-9060 http://www.britishv8.org/MG/BarrieRobinson.htm http://www.britcot.com From Theo.Smit at dynastream.com Thu Feb 19 09:51:34 2009 From: Theo.Smit at dynastream.com (Smit, Theo) Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2009 09:51:34 -0700 Subject: [Mgb-v8] Smith and Jaeger guages References: Message-ID: <60FEBF2884916145962401D18221D15701905162@dsimail.ad.garmin.com> I'm in Calgary (well, just slightly outside) but not really connected to the Britcar scene. So if you have leads or places you want checked out I can do followup but I wouldn't know offhand who'd be in line to take a bunch of stuff like this. I do have a first run of solid state stabilizers on hand: //members.shaw.ca/tsmit/stabilizer/stabilizer.html They're bigger than OEM (about twice as large in each dimension) but they also do more... And they should keep doing it for a long time. Thought I could just go to a glass shop and have them cut. Let me know of I am wrong. Also later models have the trip reset button sticking through a hole in the glass.
