    About 1/2 pint, I think.
    As you fill, pump slowly the arms up and down, to purge air bubbles. Fill to refusal, then cap the hole.  
   If it’s on the car now, fill to refusal then bounce the bumper, that may purge some air if the damper was not almost dry. 
   There is some debate on the oil to use, not unlike the debate about damper oil for the SUs. You can adjust resistance a bit by use of viscosity-graded motorcycle oil. Many use ordinary jack oil satisfactorily.
