[Mg-t] FW: Could the MG Roadster be Making its Return - as an SUV?

Personally I hate this car and pretty well everything it stands for. Its not
more than a cynical attempt to market and "appliance" in the same way you
would a refrigerator or TV by attaching a "Brand". Would I buy one?
Absolutely not.... But in saying this lets reflect..... Would I, if I'd been
a 54 year old male in 1945-49 have bought an MG-TC? Most probably not.....
You see my TC friends SAIC MG are not in the least bit interested in what we
who are no where near the demographic that they are chasing.

The original MG Car Company of Abingdon-on-Thames was set up purely to make
money, no less, no more. They did this by manufacturing cars that appealed to
a particular market sector. For a long time, they did this very well and
today we are left with a fabulous legacy. The new Chinese MG Car Company are
doing nothing that is any different to its namesake. They are hoping to make
lots of money by making motor cars for a target market. The elephant in the
room, which few are prepared to recognise is that the current MG Car Company
is little (if any) different to that small division of Morris
Motors/Nuffield/BMC. They exist only to make money, and if they do this by
marketing SUV Roadsters who are we to argue or indeed condemn?
