Walton Beach, Florida, who is having problems maintaining oil pressure on a rebuilt XPAG engine. My understanding is that the engine was built from parts of various engines. I've given him every suggestion I can think of to try and fix the problem but nothing has worked. I've reached the conclusion that it needs someone who is very familiar with XPAG engines to actually look at the engine and see what might be missing, installed improperly or in the wrong place, etc. I'd love to do this myself but the Florida panhandle is a long way from Northern California! So, I write to ask if anyone knows someone in Florida who could visit this chap and look at his engine, or who I could refer him to somewhat locally so he could take the engine over there to be checked out. His name is Brian Wood and his phone number is 850-461-2153, if you want to contact him directly. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Take his research and books for example. The K3 Dossier update is still a draft in my drawer after legal action was threatened. He travelled to Australia many times, even with a colostomy bag, and we met up in New Zealand too. The last time was at Omaru where he bought some heavy items for my N as personal baggage (they were too heavy to post!). Pip flew over there just to collect similar stuff from packhorse Mike. He always competed and I arranged for a MMM MG for him to use to enable that. He stayed with us all on each visit, and many did likewise at Bradford-on-Avon. I spoke with Ann by phone to give some support, as Mike never embraced email or computers I always phoned him regularly, I wondered if the lack of computers was because he would have been swamped with queries from around the world. I did send email files to the club at Abingdon, and he read them there. He saved MG UK club with vigilant management when the club was under a dark cloud. He went in each day to keep the staff at the task. This gave him some time for him to start his research there too! Just some random thoughts at this time. The funeral will not be this week due to Coronial matters. I thought Mike was bullet proof after all he went through. Cheers Peter Kerr MMM home centre rep Australasia
