Try going to "truthin24.com" to see the trailer. In the first moments of the video you will see some bits of footage from the 1960s, including a few seconds of footage, right about when the announcer is saying "ultimate challenge," of a red MGB going off course. - Mike Hughes -t?t- Alexandria, Virginia From mark at bradakis.com Sat Mar 21 17:48:53 2009 From: mark at bradakis.com (Mark J Bradakis) Date: Sat, 21 Mar 2009 18:48:53 -0600 Subject: [Mg-mmm] Fw: Good TV program at 8:00pm tonight on ESPN In-Reply-To: <6206FC037F7244EDBC82020A2B663E9D@computer> References: <6206FC037F7244EDBC82020A2B663E9D@computer> Message-ID: <49C58AF5.1080903@bradakis.com> Mike Hughes wrote: > Autox.Team.net has blocked something I posted earlier today for some > reason - perhaps because it contained a web-link to a very interesting > preview trailer for a program airing on ESPN at 8:00 PM EST tonight > about racing at Le Mans. Thanks, Mark - I've been posting to the MMM list for several years with no problems, and continue to follow it even though now my only remaining Pre-War M.G. is an early TA. After owning MMM cars for over 30 years they sorta stay in your blood and, besides, there are too many good friends here to just sign off! However, my original post generated the response you will see below. I rather thought that a message of interest to auto enthusiasts in general and M.G. enthusiasts in particular would be welcomed on an M.G. owners forum, so I waited for nearly four hours and then sent a second post, the one that you saw and responded to. THAT post apparently was also held and reviewed by the list moderators but was finally posted to the list eight hours later! The first post never appeared at all. - Mike Hughes -t?t- Alexandria, Virginia ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Friday, March 20, 2009 10:27 AM Subject: Your message to Mg-mmm awaits moderator approval > Your mail to 'Mg-mmm' with the subject > > Fw: Good TV program at 8:00pm tonight > > Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval. > > The reason it is being held: > > Message has implicit destination > > Either the message will get posted to the list, or you will receive > notification of the moderator's decision. I feel the best solution might be to have the tank rebuilt. Are pressings of the tank sides available? I seem to recall that a batch was produced some time ago. I feel that a competent sheet metal worker should be able to rebuild the tank if new sides are available. The cost of shipping a new tank (if available) to this part of the world would go a long way to a rebuild. Alex Dempster
