Ideally on a platform truck but could be a trailer. An alternative that Terry Sanders and I have toyed with is us taking it down ourselves and looking for someone wishing to deliver a similar size car north. MG is the marque of choice of course! If you're interested let either of us know. This would be a January event. I generally get 3 prices or more, both air & surface. Prices depend on whether it's RORO or container, and if it's a complete car, old, and very valuable, it will likely only be able to be containerized. And if it's not running, it'll have to be in a container, regardless. I use Lars Traner, a fellow MG owner, and head of the CLE office of Schenker Freight. My first-ever rebuild of a PA engine seems to have gone well! It started up nicely, has no leaks (so far!) and a short drive suggests it is definitely more powerful than it was before the core plug incident which necessitated a tear-down after just 118 miles on the "specialist's" rebuild. Now I have a few questions: Does the head need to be re-torqued (this is my first experience of building an engine with a solid copper head gasket)? If so, re-torque when hot or cold? Should the rocker arm clearances be set when the engine is hot or cold? My experience with conventional engines says "yes" and "hot" to both but I am trying to do this engine once and correctly! Lastly, I have seen recommendations for rocker clearances at 6 & 6, 6 & 8 and 8 & 8 thou. What is best? (This engine has a Centric blower.) Advice from those of you with lots of ohc experience will be much appreciated. Dan, I've used "Dri-n-Wash" for years....I think that is the name, you spray it on, then wipe off with a terry towel....you'll find it on Ebay...also Griot's Garage now has a similar product which I've used and its good also....but first use a California Duster to get most of the dust off before using either of these.
