[Lhbcc] End of Season Picnic Hosted by The Moss'

Hello everyone! I hope you are all surviving this non-stop heat. While we’re in the middle of summer and melting away, it’s hard to believe we’re planning events for the end of the season already. 

I wanted to let everyone know that Ted and Kathy Moss will be hosting our fall picnic on Sunday September 15 from 1:00pm - whenever at their house in Latrobe. There is a $5 per person charge to cover the cost of supplies and each couple/family is asked to bring a side dish (salad, side, or dessert). Feel free to bring your favorite beverage as well.

You MUST RSVP directly to Kathy by either texting 724-316-8825 or emailing kceksm1 at comcast.net <mailto:kceksm1 at comcast.net>. Please try to RSVP no later than September 5. 

I want to thank everyone who attended our July meeting which was held at 814 Lanes & Games in Greensburg. We had a good turnout and many people drove their “fun” cars since the weather was nice. Our next meeting on Wednesday August 7 will also be held at 814 Lanes & Games (the old Shop n Save on Route 136). 

Below are some of the key events coming up as part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix which many of us participate in.

Sunday 7/21 - Kick-off Rally at Dual Devils Garage 10am
Monday 7/22 - Walnut Street Invitational Car Show - 5pm
Thursday 7/25-7/28 - Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex - 9am - 5pm
Monday 7/29 - Waterfront Cruise - 4pm
Wednesday 7/31 - Downtown Car Display - 11am - 2pm
Wednesday 7/31 - Tune-Up at Southside Works - 6pm - 9pm
Thursday August 1 - Countryside Tour - 10am - 3pm
Saturday August 3 - International Car Show and Vintage Racing - 9:30am - 5pm

Ken Patterson will follow up with more info about the main car show on August 3 at Schenley Park. The plan is to meet in Delmont at the Lamplighter for anyone that wants to drive in together. 

Looking forward to seeing lots of club members at these various events.
