There seems to be a trend toward fidelity to the 1950's in today's premier
street rods.  But in those days there were some real safety issues that we
learned about the hard way.

Maybe they need to find an SCTA tech inspector willing to be on the judging
team to gig the street safety issues in the contenders.  After all,  these
cars set a certain standard for the many commercial as well as individual
street rod builders world wide.
