Down Under it's a recognized phenomenon called 'The Martian Conspiracy' .
They're making a parallel World to ours, hence the need to make a copy of 
everything we have.
When they take an item, don't bother searching. When they're done, it'll be 
returned, exactly as you've all found.
Occasionally a favorite expletive to them speeds the copy process.
