Wow I am impressed CT scans and computer models and no doubt a six figure 
budget per day to figure out the obvious. All they had to do was get a 
consult from a class of 3'd grade kids to tell them more padding is 
better.Lol.. You can pad a soldier until they look like the Michelin man and 
it does not help in the end they have to be able to move and not stand as 
stationary targets. We could have saved the tax payers a pile of money with 
a much more simple test that you can do at home. Get 2 eggs drop one on the 
floor and note results drop the second one on a pillow and compare the 
outcome. Hmm padding is good study over. Cost 35 cents fits on one sheet of 
paper that is not classified. What are we going to do if this secret is 
leaked out and they make even bigger bombs? then we will need a new study to 
find a solution for another 3 million only to discover that 2 extra pads 
work better than one.
sigh our tax dollars at work... This whole test would have been more 
interesting if we had the Myth Busters blowing up pigs with helmets on. That 
would have been epic with great barbecue later.
