For sure I am going to keep this. Just in case I ever race in corn 
syrup.   One thing I didn't actually see was what the spacing betwen the 
two cylinders was. And where in relation to each other in a radial 
direction the colors was placed.  That would indicate whether mixing was 
actually taking place or not or we were just viewing it  through the 
three different layers making it look like it was mixed. Also, this 
works because the corn syrup is very thick so no turbulent flow exists 
to mix in all directions.  And you are not really reversing laminar 
flow, I think entropy is not conserved in that the exact smooth colors 
were not recovered. The slight distortion is that result, maybe.

Interesting though.
