The data from your drive can be recovered, but it may take a professional to
do it. I have used a company called DriveSavers before when nasty employees
did nasty things to hardware. DriveSavers does a number of things to save
the data including replacing/bypassing the on board controller and if
necessary they dismantle the drive and read the platter(s) directly. Call
them and you can get a cost estimate.

it. Their comment was..."it's gone..all gone..."
