It is a not needed for LSR and a waste of money. . . before the flames start
let me explain. Gear drive was really developed for circle cars. They are
constantly on and off throttle every 15-30 seconds. In that environment a
chain takes an incredible beating. The first ones were noisy (most still
are) and a lot of ''kids'' liked the artificial blower sound! Precision was
not the focus, longer life was the real issue. In order to sell more units
advertising swill slanted toward the street and other cars . . . it worked!
Bottom line, in LSR you are WOT . . . run a good chain and save money.  YMMV
