[Land-speed] John MacKichan news

I received a note from Barb MacKichan bringing me up to date on what  
they are doing in
Indiana at the AFCO company Bill Smith bought for Speedway Motors.

This was buried in the happy note:

"John received a call this past Monday from Bill Smith informing him  
that
John has been voted into the Nebraska Racing Hall of Fame for this
September's annual gathering at the Museum.  That is quite a treat for
John.  His experience at the beloved Salt Flats had much to do with that
recognition.  The kids are excited about it as well".

That's great recognition for John.  The MacKichan-Schulz streamliner  
has been a beautiful,
innovative addition to the salt flats legacy.  John's work in updating  
the Speedway owned,
Museum of American Speed has been rather quiet but a huge factor in  
making it such
an intersting place to visit.
