So the BNI record is the average of two speeds. The FIA record is an elapsed 
time over a defined piece of real estate which then gets translated into mph 
(because that is the number most of the rest of us relate to).  Of course 
the FIA record is most correct because that's the "real" world record.
Hmmmmm......... perfect logic from the folks who a couple of centuries back 
decided the world needed a measurement system based on the distance from the 
equator to the North Pole.
Personally I'm more interested in speed records than elapsed time records 
(with all due respect to our friends in motorsports communities to whom ET 
is pretty important)
