[Land-speed] Speaking of Paint....

What is required to successfully paint a piece of lexan and not have the 
paint flake off at 200 mph?  I had left the original scratch cover on my 
stubby wind screen and the sun has finally killed it. So I would like to 
paint it something spiffy. Are ther especial primers? Should I scuff it 
up with sand paper to give it some tooth?  Or whut... (said in my best 
imatation of billy bob...)
