Hi all, I have been asked to forward the following message:

Tom had bleeding on the brain which resulted in similar symptoms to a stroke.
He has had an operation and is in a rehabilitation facility and progressing
satisfactorily.  He wanted all his friends to know so they wouldn't worry
about him.

I don't have a whole lot more info.  Hopefully as Tom recovers we will hear
from him directly.
