What kind of car? To my knowledge there is no such animal as a liquid cooled
alternator. Did you misunderstand?

Anybody ever heard of a liquid-cooled alternator?  My son just had his
alternator replaced and was told it failed because of a broken cooling hose
to
the alternator.  $1400 bucks worth of replacement!
