My thinking was we will start racing 2 days later this year. There will only
be 2 days for new members to qualify for the club instead of 4 days.

Usually it's Wedneasday evening, and I haven't heard anything to say
different for this year. But I haven't heard any
confirmation, either, so if I do find out -- I'll post it here. There's a
city/racer picnic-appreciation dinner being held Thursday
evening at the Wendover Community Center (on Aria Street, south/east of
Wendover Blvd, on the road leading to the airport).
It's a cooperative effort of the Wendover City Commission and the SCTA/BNI
folks -- the regular volunteer appreciation dinner
has been combined with this one, so there'll be a big bang-up picnic for
both city and racers. I've heard talk about some dinner
thing on Tuesday -- don't know what that is. Sunday the 17th (inspection
day evening) is when we're holding Salt Talks.

In the meantime, the buffets at the casinos are still there. The Salt Flats
Cafe (mexican food at the truckstop) has a new menu
-- prices might be a bit higher than before, but it's probably still THE
bargain.
