[Land-speed] alum heads on the street

David,

Just use Prestone Dex-Cool. It is formulated to meet the GM requirements 
for any
engine with Aluminum parts in the cooling system.

I use it in my Honda V-6 which is all Al and my '99 Ford  Ranger 4cyl 
which is
Al head and iron block.

It's good almost forever.
