<p>In "The Healey Book" by Bill Emerson, he discusses custom bodies
fitted to Healey chassis and drive train, pages 30 - 35. To
quote:</p>
<p>"Ernst & Fritz Beutler, of Carroserie, Thun, Switzerland
produced a number of cars on Healey chassis between 1947 and
1952. Tow examples are shown, a coupe and a convertible. The
convertible was first shown in the 1949 Geneva Auto Show. The
date of the manufacture for the coupe is unknown but its styling
is still beautiful after many years. Comparing the two cars, one
can see the similarity in the wings and the conservative use of
chrome to accent the body lines. Both cars utilized the Healey
grille and hubcaps; all other parts of the body were constructed
in the Beutler factory in Switzerland." The book has a B&W
photo of each car.</p>

I know this Beutler bodied Healey quite well.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt">The car is a
Warwick built Healey with Riley running gear.
The Donald Healey Motor Company never made
bodywork for any of the cars and sold many as
a rolling chassis. Some were sold to the Swiss
coachbuilder Carrosserie Beutler who built
bodies for the Healey chassis. This is one of
them.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt">This particular
car also took part in the Mille Miglia in the
late 1940s.</span></p>
