<div>Check studs that hold rocker shaft and any other ones that enter into the water jacket. Use Permatex white sealant to dress the threads-see article on healeyhelper.com-had same issue- white liquid on top of head, oil had water in it as it was beyond max line and slippery. Head tested fine at machine shop for pressure and found no cracks. A-OK.Water was wicking up threads! Hank</div>

<div>
<div> </div>
<div>Up date.</div>
<div>So re-torqued head. Only one nut moved 3/4 turn. Added some of that Barrs leaks to coolant. Rigorous oil change (cooler too)</div>
<div>After 425 mi on new oil had another analysis done and pains still glycol present.</div>
<div>Now have head off.</div>
<div>Nothing really obvious.</div>
<div>Suggestions where/what to look for ?</div>
<div>Plan to take head to a machine shop for truing.</div>

<div>Approx 15k mi on rebuilt engine by PO.</div>
<div>Recently detected water droplets and creamy oil residue inside valve cover and near oil filler.</div>
<div>Pains as engine and car run so well ... grr</div>
<div>Did compression test and all OK at around 150 psi</div>
<div>Also had oil analysis done that confirmed glycol in oil. Interesting no water found ... assume gets burnt off ?</div>
<div>Upon reflection realise had been losing some coolant. Have recently installed a recovery reservoir and attributed the loss to air being removed. Silly me.</div>
<div>So need some ideas how to proceed and if there is a likely culprit area that others may have encountered ?</div>
<div> Maybe start by re torqueing the head ?</div>
<div>Not sure how to retest though apart from another oil test.</div>
<div>Remove head ?</div>
<div>Thoughts and ideas please</div>
