<p>Udo was re-valving shock absorbers for several classic car
applications. He was also supplying advice all over the world.
Years ago I was looking for shock absorbers for a specific car.
These were officially not available through the Bilstein network
in Europe. However he supplied me with the part numbers free of
charge so Bilstein in Germany could build me some at the standard
price..<br>
Sorry to hear he is not in business any longer. We all get older!</p>

<p>If it ain't broke don't fix it. Bilsteins generally last
a long time, 70k does not sound extreme. Leave well alone
unless you have been driving on a lot of very rough roads
and the car has become bouncy.<br>
