<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;">Just bought a “Whitworth" thread pitch gauge from British Tool because I’ve begun to restore a BN1 and I need to confirm the 55 degree thread pitch angle on the Whitworth bolts.<div><br></div><div>It turns out that British Tool and Fasteners thread pitch gauge is not actually Whitworth, even though they say it is. And even though the owner, Jon Caswell, knows it is not the 55 degree angle that it is represented to be, he seems to think that is OK and doesn’t think he should reimburse me for any of the shipping, even one way.</div><div><br></div><div>Check out these photos comparing an American pitch gauge, 60 degree angle, to his “Whitworth” 55 degree angle guage. </div><div> </div><div><div>
