The machine could do the work on the car. But as I brought my tires off the car because the Healey was not running. So, they mounted them on the balancing machine to spin the tires while the shaving machine was mounted under the spinning tire. When the tires were finished shaving it made it easier to balance the tires. The mechanic was able to mark each wheel as to how it should be mounted on the car thereby further reducing shimmy. The shaving, balancing and detail to mounting provided an almost perfect driving. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Tire shaving or Tire Truing facilities (both terms are used by the dealers) are difficult to find. When you do, you may have to drive long distances for the service. I drove across Florida.
