The pre-BJ7 arms have a leaf spring and they are straight (blades are parallel to the arms), with a J-shaped insert into the blade. BJ7 and BJ8 arms have a coil spring and have a straight push into the blade. The BJ7/8 arms are are bent at the ends so the blades park along the bottom windshield rubber.
