                      high torque starter stopped operating. Determined
                      it is the solenoid, so I will be removing it the
                      starter for a bench test.  Meanwhile, we
                      discovered an interesting electrical situation. 
                      When trying to start the car the starter would
                      short out and the electrical system would
                      completely shut down.  In checking the battery
                      connection, it was discovered disconnecting and
                      reconnecting the ground from the battery the
                      electrical system became live.  There must be a
                      GFI type of device in the wires to and from the
                      ignition switch.  I doubt it was installed at the
                      factory, maybe by the restorer?  What am I looking
                      for under the dash?  It is a great idea, however I
                      want to know what is it and where it is located.</span></p>
