cutoff switch because I replaced it twice over the years and gave
up with using one.  Keep thinking I would rebuild the original
one that came with the car and never got around to it.  Wonder
if the new BJ8 cut off switches from Moss are any good?</span></p>

happened to me when I was 3000 miles from home.  Fortunately,
the first time was temporary and I got home again before it

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:16pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">My high torque
starter stopped operating. Determined it is the solenoid, so I will
be removing it the starter for a bench test.  Meanwhile, we
discovered an interesting electrical situation.  When trying
to start the car the starter would short out and the electrical
system would completely shut down.  In checking the battery
connection, it was discovered disconnecting and reconnecting the
ground from the battery the electrical system became live. 
There must be a GFI type of device in the wires to and from the
ignition switch.  I doubt it was installed at the factory,
maybe by the restorer?  What am I looking for under the
dash?  It is a great idea, however I want to know what is it
and where it is located.</span></p>
