<div>I agree with you about the head gasket, but be aware that both mating surfaces will need to have a fine machined surface to make it work. That may require removal and disassembly of the engine.</div>

<div dir="ltr">Check the head for warps and have the valve guides and valves checked out. Have the machine shop crack chec the head also. This is the head gasket that I use, never any issues. Warning it is $$$.

While it is not a good thing to see, it could be worse.? There was a time when the available aftermarket head gaskets seemed to let go in that location.P<br>

Driving home from a two hundred mile jaunt, my car had some problems going uphill. Made some weird noises and so I pulled off the road and being 14 miles from home, called a tow truck. Did a compression check when I got home, cylinders 1 and 2, 150 lbs! Cylinders
3 and 4, 0 lbs!?<br>
Pulled the head and found this. Not a good sight.?<br>
