The rear spring on a Healey 100/6 up to the final version of the BJ8 is BMC part number 11B5266. The BMC part number for a BN1/2 rear spring is 1B8929 so they are different. I don’t know the specs for the 1B8929 spring these are the specs for 11B5266:</p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>E - Eye to eye free length is 34 7/8”</p><p class=MsoNormal>C - Free arch is 4”</p><p class=MsoNormal>D - Leaf Spring Pack thickness is 1 13/32” (with zinc strips)</p><p class=MsoNormal>Spring pack is 7 leaves @ 0.189” thick x 1.75” wide</p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>If some can measure a good BN1/2 spring and post the results I can suggest what the differences may mean. I have some decent 100-6 leaf springs that I was assuming I could use.
