The Proto part number is 5570. I just Googled and it is available from the usual online sources. I have only have a few ¾ drive sockets and use a ½ to ¾ adapter. Yes the socket must be 12 point to fit the 8 sided axle nut. Some replacement nuts may be 6 sided but originals were 8 sided.
