If the car currently has an SU pump & it fails (after decades of reliable service) why replace it with an aftermarket pump and have to deal with mounting modifications, fuel line routing & connection modifications, etc. when it is so much easier to replace it with another SU pump. If your concern is reliability on a road trip a spare SU can be installed if needed in a short amount of time. Or as I have done, install & plumb a 2nd pump & switch so I can alternate between them on a long trip.<br>Gary Hodson<o:p></o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>-----Original Message-----<br>From: Tom Mitchell via Healeys <<a href="mailto:healeys@autox.team.net">healeys@autox.team.net</a>> <br>To: Michael Oritt <<a href="mailto:michael.oritt@gmail.com">michael.oritt@gmail.com</a>><br>Cc: <a href="mailto:Robertschaffer812@gmail.com">Robertschaffer812@gmail.com</a>; Austin Healey <<a href="mailto:healeys@autox.team.net">healeys@autox.team.net</a>><br>Sent: Sun, Jun 13, 2021 10:19 am<br>Subject: Re: [Healeys] Napa fuel pump<o:p></o:p></span></p><div id=yiv8925170145><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>Aren't other questions: mounting and connections? <o:p></o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>I'll admit I installed a second SU pump on a bracket I made for two SU pumps, because of interchangeability and it seemed easier in the long run.<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>Tom<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div id=yiv8925170145yqtfd79903><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>On Sun, Jun 13, 2021, 11:02 AM Michael Oritt via Healeys <<a href="mailto:healeys@autox.team.net" target="_blank">healeys@autox.team.net</a>> wrote:<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><blockquote style='border:none;border-left:solid #CCCCCC 1.0pt;padding:0cm 0cm 0cm 6.0pt;margin-left:4.8pt;margin-right:0cm'><div id=yiv8925170145yqtfd31958><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#3333FF'>Skip--<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#3333FF'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#3333FF'>They probably are along with many others--the only question is whether they are reliable.<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#3333FF'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#3333FF'>Best--Michael Oritt<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black'>On Sat, Jun 12, 2021 at 4:13 PM Skip Saunders via Healeys <<a href="mailto:healeys@autox.team.net" target="_blank">healeys@autox.team.net</a>> wrote:<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><blockquote style='border:none;border-left:solid #CCCCCC 1.0pt;padding:0cm 0cm 0cm 6.0pt;margin-left:4.8pt;margin-right:0cm'><div><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>Just curious…..
