I have a Hayden 7-bladed (asymmetrical) fan on the shelf. The blades
are rectangular and more highly curved, and could really move air.
Unfortunately, it was loud as hell at idle and would blow dust out
from under the car; but it was the one thing that did the most to
reduce temp at idle.<br>

difference to "heatsoak" situations one
thing that was mentioned during our
local club Zoom meeting was the idea of
adding a 3rd blade to a standard 6 cyl
fan, something I'd never heard of.
<div>This sounds like a very good idea
and at least a couple of our members
have done this with outstanding
results.</div>
<div>Slightly longer screws are
recommended for securing the 3 blades
to the waterpump pulley.</div>

solved all the vapor
lock issues starting
my 67 BJ8. It starts
the car even when
the engine is hot
after a long run.
Greatest thing since
sliced bread, if you
want your wife to
travel with you as
generally, they do
not like helping you
push the car away
from the gas pumps
and standing around
waiting for the car
to start. But, if
you have a wife who
likes to push your
Healey, she is a

vapor lock issue
occurs for
example at long
stop lights in
hot weather as
expected to some
extant, not
while driving;
but the other
day when I
stopped to
refuel, the
heatsink after
turning off the
engine caused
the gauge to hit
200 which vapor
locks me every
time. So I push
back, lift the
lid and air the
engine for 10-15
minutes and then
it fires up.
That usually
attracts an
audience which
helps pass the
time. :-)<br

A pulley change
on my car
wouldn’t make a
difference IMO.
