<p>A lightened flywheel does <u><i><b>not</b></i></u> reduce the
torque the engine delivers, It reduces the inertia of the engine
which will result in the engine revving up or slowing down faster
to enable quicker shifts (gears and overdrive) and a slightly
acceleration. It also means that when starting of from standstill
you may stall easy initially and the gear changes are effected as
you have to operate the clutch pedal with much more feel.
Drive-ability will suffer. <br>

<pre class="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">I have a DWR lightened flywheel but I wish I had known more before installing it. A lightened flywheel reduces the torque. Also the OD functions differently. There is not a lot of difference between the RPM's in third and fourth gears. I am not sure how to explain it but hopefully someone else will.
