Stopper activated by the cable is 1/2 inch diameter. Pocket that it sits in is 5/8 diameter and has three standoffs to center the stopper in the hole. The stopper can move only 1/4 in and out so it stays in the pocket. The available space for water flow is 0.39 inches compared to 0.44 inches for the 3/8 inch internal diameter tubes on the valve.
