      What is important that the car is functioning properly as the
      owner would like, original, modified, hot-rodded or whatever. <br>

    <p>Anyway there are probably no 100% original running/real Healeys
      in existence. Other lights, oil filter, ignition, transmission,
      dynamo/alternator, SS-exhaust, tyres, wheels, noise/heat
      suppression, water pump, radiator, suspension bushes, shock
      absorbers, induction/carburettors, cylinder head, pistons,
      SS-bolts&nuts etc. etc.</p>

              guys are just too critical.  My BJ8 (with Toyota 5-speed)
              is still a real Healey.  I can tell by the oil leaks. I
              think that the transmission drips a bit too just to keep
              the rest of the car happy.</div>

                      not really significant. This is what the battery
                      is for. If you had an ammeter you would see the
                      amps pick up after idling to bring the batt back
