The issue is that the currently supplied foam is stiffer than the original Dunlopillow and as such provides a harder seat. removing plugs of foam from the underside improves the compliance of the seat. I did it to the foams I used in my 100 for 13 years and
they were about as comfortable as they could be. I had Heritage rebuild my seats with new everything and it feels as if they also drilled the foams, although i'm not sure. They covered the bottoms of the seat cushions with fabric so I can't see them, but just
poking around it feels as if there are holes.</div>

<div dir="ltr">I had foam removed, but the front of the seat bottom is still to tall frome. I had my upholstery guy make me a seat bottom that is half height and does use the metal frame. I'm 6'3" but long wasted, so I sit tall in the saddle. Seat looks correct
unless you compare the height to the passenger seat.. i still need to settle in, but the starting point is much better.<br clear="all">

<p>Can't help with an upholsterer in LA--I do know one in San Jose--but I wouldn't remove any material from the seat bottoms; I've done a couple with the Moss foam and, yes, you sit high for a while but the foam compresses after a few hundred miles.</p>
