So I'm rebuilding my hypoid differential and installing a Lempert gear set. I asked you guys about bearing numbers so I could source the new bearings. Well I got plenty of help on that. That got me down in the shop looking for cracks and wouldn't you know...... There is a crack in the carrier bearing retainer cap ( see photo ). So I'm looking for a new aluminum case or a whole third member. I'm in Los Angeles and hope someone near me has a spare they would be willing to part with.
