<p>No need to change the plugs every 12.000mls. Just check them
every year or when the idling starts getting a bit rough (can also
be caused by several other problems like carbs, points, capacitor,
distributor cap, plug leads). When dirty clean them properly and
re-gap. Only when worn replace them, which in practice will be
hardly ever as the yearly mileage is usually rather low.</p>

year for inspection (removing for valve check/adjustment and
compression check anyway), clean and re-gap as necessary,
then keep on truckin' until next time. No reason to do it
more frequently as long as the engine is running well. I
currently have 12,411 miles on a set of NGK BP6ES plugs
installed new in October 2012. I got 46,500 miles out of
the previous set of Champion RN12YC.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

manual suggest replacing the plugs every 12,000 miles, they
having been checked every 1,000 miles per the same book.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

approximately? By that I mean…..all things being equal and
the plugs looking OK & working OK, only swap at +/-
